The procedure of augmentation and modelling consists in filling the lips with hyaluronic acid. As part of the procedure, it is possible to increase the volume of the upper and lower lip, improve the contour, as well as raise the corners of the mouth.
Indications
Lip augmentation treatment is recommended for people who notice the problem of too small lips or are dissatisfied with their shape. During the pre-correction conversation, your doctor will help you choose the correct correction method. The basis is a natural effect.
The procedure can be performed regardless of the patient’s age. In young women, the correction is usually for an underdeveloped upper or lower lip. At a later age, we mainly correct the lip contour and changes resulting from the progressive ageing process of the mouth associated with dehydration of the red lip. Lips are better moisturised, regain colour and youthful firmness. Increasing the volume of the lips makes small and larger wrinkles around the mouth disappear, which gives the overall effect of rejuvenation. Thanks to the procedure, we can emphasise lips, improve their shape and symmetry, as well as ther colour.

The course of the procedure
The procedure requires proper preparation. Three days before the planned treatment, aspirin and anti-inflammatory drugs are not recommended. On the day of the procedure, avoid excessive heating of the body and increased physical activity. Just before the procedure you need to thoroughly wash your makeup.
Hyaluronic acid is injected by a doctor using a disposable syringe with a very thin needle. However, the area around the mouth is very sensitive, therefore it is recommended to use cream or dental anaesthesia. After completing the injection, a specialist massages the hyaluronic acid injection site for even distribution. Finally, a preparation is used to prevent the appearance of small hematomas at the place of the treatment.
The effects of the procedure
After the procedure, hyaluronic acid is imperceptible and gives a feeling of naturally enlarged lips. Depending on the preparation, the effects can last from 6 to 12 months. During the first hours after the procedure, avoid excessive facial expressions and touching or massaging the injection site. During the first few days, do not expose your mouth to sunlight and excessive overheating.
