The concept of the procedure is to implant soluble threads under the skin, which gradually dissolve, stimulate the synthesis of collagen, fibroblasts, angiogenesis, thanks to which the skin becomes smoother, more radiant, wrinkles disappear, the face oval rises, the “pores” narrow, the sagging tissues are strengthened, skin lifting takes place.
PDO threads are synthetic monofilament fibers. They are made of one beam and are characterised by a uniform surface, free of cavities and furrows, in which bacteria could colonise. The advantage of these threads is a very smooth passage through the tissues, which eliminates damage to structures during implantation. The total dissolution time is 180 – 210 days. They have been used for many years in various fields of medicine including plastic surgery, ophthalmology, gynecology, general surgery.
The effects of the procedure:
The first effects are visible after 2-3 weeks, and a significant improvement occurs after 2-3 months, when new collagen begins to be induced.
The effect can last up to 2 years.
