Classic therapeutic massage is a pleasant and non-invasive therapeutic method. What’s more, therapeutic massage is one of the most effective methods of treating the musculoskeletal system. It works for many ailments, and the effects can be really surprising.

Who can make use of therapeutic massage?

Therapeutic massages are recommended for people who experience pain and discomfort in the spine, head, shoulders, arms or legs. They can bring really good results in the therapy of those who are immobilized for a long time. They are recommended to people suffering from rheumatic pains, people after fractures or strokes. It will also work for those who lead a sedentary lifestyle, are exposed to excessive stress or struggle with depression.

What does therapeutic massage consist in?

Therapeutic massage is based primarily on classic massage techniques. Particular consideration is given to the area affected by the illness or disability. To basic tricks like stroking, kneading, rubbing, pressure, mixing, patting, vibration, dithering, other manual therapy techniques are added, e.g. mobilization, manipulations, fascial massage, pressure of trigger points.

Therapeutic massage can be performed on a massage table, then the patient lies down, or on a chair specially adapted for this massage – a patient is in a sitting position. The latter method relieves the shoulder girdle and allows the therapist to reach selected tissues more easily.

Therapeutic massage involves manual, mechanical stimulation of body tissues through massaged skin. Unlike classical massage, therapeutic massage can be painful at times. Very often no oils or warming ointments are used for the treatment.

The treatment is conductd by
